Summer Slipper Trends for 2022’

If you’re looking to keep your feet up to date with the latest footwear trends this summer, don’t forget the slippers you wear at home can make a great style statement too. With 38% of adults reported as still working from home for at least part of the week in 2022 * it seems we can still stay comfy and be productive, which is great news if you love slippers and loungewear!

We’ve put together a list of the Hottest Slipper Trends for Summer 2023 so you can keep your feet looking fab even when you’re smashing it WFH.

Wedges

Chunky wedges are a summer footwear staple this year (we’ve got some summer wedge sandals too!) but wedge slippers haven’t always been a thing.  A traditional pair of comfy slippers hasn’t always been about style, but since we launched in 2008 we’ve always been committed to designing slippers that not only feel good, but look good too.

The popularity of our Vegan wedge slipper – Maria – is no surprise when more of us want to match our fashion aspirations when we go out with what we wear at home. Check out the Maria here with it’s cool Scandi upper and vibrant coloured wedges.

Slim

If bold and chunky isn’t your thing then there are loads of slim, understated slipper styles to choose from too. From simple Pilar vegan felt mules, to our range of crossover slipper styles – the super soft Nicki waffle in cool neutrals, the popular Nathalie in Borg Fleece and then there’s Ebony in luxury faux fur in the prettiest pastel shades.  We’ve got a great range starting from £15 a pair.

Slides

Still a summer staple, the slide is footwear freedom at its best.  Slides have transitioned from outer wear to indoor house shoes and vice versa this season. Some of us wear the same slides wherever we go throughout the summer.

Some of us got so used to slipper slides in lockdown we can never go back. We designed a few styles that let you hang around at home and step outside to the local shop or just to get busy in the garden.

Mules

A great footwear staple, the mule has evolved into a whole host of styles and options, from classic Scandinavian clogs to outdoor sheepskin mules and even the love them or hate them Crocs. 

Mules slippers have become a year-round choice for many, paired with tights or socks in the winter, lined with super warm and soft fur or faux fur. When summer comes around, they can be smart enough for work and leisure, at home or outdoors.

Sliders

We haven’t forgotten the men this summer either. The Efron slide has been an extremely popular style since we introduced it to our range in 2020. The snow-tipped Sherpa fleece upper and lining makes it super comfy, and the wide bar slider style makes it so easy to wear, all year round.
