For generations, the islanders of Lewis, Harris, Uist, and Barra have been spinning, dyeing, and weaving this remarkable cloth.

Using pure virgin wool that's been dyed and spun in the islands. The fabric is then woven by hand on a treadle loom, a process that hasn't changed for centuries.
